Current Turn-Around Time

Hey all - It's summer, school is out, the kids are home, and the 4th of July is now over so family is no longer in-town.

Things have been hectic lately, so lots of stuff fell behind schedule and I apologize for that.  Turn-around is currently around 6-10 days after the order is placed.  If you need your order for a specific event before that, make sure to leave a note when the order is placed and I'll make an effort to get yours out in time.

The old messaging system that I had setup expired and is broken, so I'm looking into getting a new one set up.  Sorry for anyone whose tried to get a hold of me lately during the transition.

The whole cookie cutter thing has died down a lot in the last year, and as a result of getting fewer and fewer orders, I've put more and more of my focus into the woodworking side of my business and it tends to demand a great deal more of my attention as a result.  It's been picking up, which is the biggest reason that the 3D printed objects have fallen behind.

I've got a youtube channel up featuring some of the laser cutting wordworking stuff I get up to for anyone curious -

Back on track!

I've actually been 'back on track' for a bit now, but didn't want to make an announcement until I was sure I could maintain it.  :)

In any case, the turn-around time is back to a much more reasonable 3-7 days. (Depending on the day of the week you place your order).

Big Delays

Many apologies but there are some big delays right now.  I've been snowed in the last two weeks with occasional ability to travel and receive packages.  Supplies that I've ordered have been days-to-weeks late getting to me, which has in-turn delayed my production and outgoing shipments.

On top of that, school has been canceled thanks to the gym roof collapsing under the weight of the snow.  So my kids have been home and antsy from being cooped up so much.

And if that all wasn't enough, my garage where my 3D Printers are kept, that I generally consider very well insulated, has been a freezer thanks to the sub-zero temperatures outside and the 2+ foot tall wall of snow on the other side of my garage door.  This caused all of my prints to curl and get ruined for several days until I was able to get out of my driveway again and get to a store and buy a space heater.

So it's just been one thing after another this month - 2017 is clearly off to a great start :P

Anyway, I'm doing my best to get things out as quickly as possible, but I'm definitely behind a lot.

Again - my greatest apologies for the inconvenience this has caused anyone else.

New Year - still behind but catching up

Turn-around time is still a little more than a week at the moment.  Not only did I get a tremendous number of orders over the course of December, but I've also been snowed in and the post has been delayed several times (leaving me short on supplies and having to wait extra time for them to arrive.)

But I'm slowly catching up with the backlog and since the number of orders I'm getting is finally going back to normal, I've got room to catch up.

If you place an order for something that is especially time-sensitive, please make sure to say when you need it by in the Notes section of the checkout page.

It's that holiday time of year again!

So it's that time of year again where everyone suddenly realizes that making cookies for holiday events is awesome, so all at once, everyone starts ordering from me.
What this actually results in is BACKLOGS!  Ack!  Oh noes!
I especially feel bad about it since people are placing orders in hopes of making things for holiday events, and if I don't get them out in time, then the order might go to waste.  No one wants that.
But it doesn't change the fact that I only have so many printers and so many hours in the day.  So what's the best way to guarantee you'll have your cookie cutters so you can make cookies for thanksgiving, christmas, hanukah, festivus, yule, saturnalia, kwanza or what-have-you?  Well the best way is to order them EARLY!
Seriously.  Right now the turn-around time is sitting around 7-10 days, and it's only mid November.  It will only get worse and more and more people start ordering all at the same time.
The past few years, by the time x-mas rolled around, the turn-around was 2-3 weeks - it got that bad.
So keep that in mind!
Order early and you'll guarantee getting your things in time.  And remember, if you do order some of the lasercut stuff, like clocks, chests, etc. - that stuff takes even longer to make and I'm getting a TON of those orders right now on Etsy, so I'm actually super backlogged with those too.

Back from PAX and current Turn-Around Time

Made it back from PAX West and am officially all caught up on the orders that came in during that time!

Turn-Around is 1-4 days right now, depending on the day of the week you place your order.

On average I get orders packaged and shipped out Monday mornings, and Thursday mornings, but it can wiggle a bit from time to time.  So if you place your order on a Wednesday, chances are, it won't actually be shipped out till Monday, unless I ship things out on Saturday instead.

If you have a time-sensitive order, please make sure to mention it in the Notes section on the Checkout Page.  I'll try to rush on those that ask for it, but understand that if you are outside of the US, I cannot predict on delivery times.

Going to PAX!

Hey all!  I wanted to make sure people were aware that I'll be out of town for the first week of September to attend PAX West in Seattle.  This will cause a delay in any orders placed during that time-frame.

Summer is here

Hey all!  School is finally out in most places and summer break is officially here.  Which means my kids are home all day and that might eat into my work-time a bit, but I don't expect it to cause much of a delay.

Turn-around time is still anywhere from 1-day to 5-days depending on what day of the week you place your order.

On average, I get a shipment of orders out Monday morning, and again on Thursday.  So if you place your order on Thursday, it probably won't get shipped out till the following Monday.

If you're on a specific deadline, leave a message in the notes saying when you need the order by and I will make an effort to get things out faster if there's a real need.

This is for the cookie cutters, and not for the woodworking/lasercut items.  Those have turn-around times listed on their respective item pages (generally 2-weeks), so if you order one of those for a birthday or event, please keep that in mind, and if you're on a tight deadline, definitely leave me a note at the checkout page.

Turn-Around Time for April

Hey all!  Turn-around time is pretty fast right now.  I've been managing a 1-3 day turn around for about two weeks now and finally feel comfortable making that promise publicly.  If you order late in the week then your order probably won't go out until Monday morning (or Tuesday, if I have a full weekend with my kids).  But if you order Sunday, Monday, Tuesday, and probably even Wednesday, you can be guaranteed that your order will be shipped out within 1-2 days.

Shop is back up and new Turn-Around time

Hey all - the shop is back up and running, so orders can resume.  Turn-Around will probably be 7-9 working days before orders are shipped.

Remember, if you need an order by a specific date, I can't make any guarantees, but your chances are improved if you leave a comment in the Notes section during check-out.
